We’re a Dallas gate repair crew that shows up with a name you know before the truck parks. Every technician wears a photo ID badge, sends a name and photo ahead of the visit, and works under the Threshold Standard. That means background-checked, identity-verified, factory-trained, and accountable to Cole Rafferty, our owner, who still takes calls about stubborn gate motors on a Tuesday night. We fix gates, electric gate openers, and gate motors. That’s the whole job. No handyman detours, no “we’ll take a look and get back to you.” Just gates and openers that work.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Marcus J. – Lead Technician, Electric Gate Repair
Marcus has been fixing electric gates in Dallas since 2011, and before that he spent six years working on commercial access systems in Fort Worth. He’s our lead on Gate Repair Dallas jobs that involve control boards, safety loops, and intermittent faults that only show up when it rains. Marcus is factory-trained on LiftMaster, FAAC, and BFT, and he keeps a Ghost Controls diagnostic kit in his truck because, as he puts it, “somebody in Preston Hollow always buys the fancy one.” His specialty is finding the fault nobody else found, usually in under an hour. He’s the guy who calls the customer after the job to explain what he fixed in plain English, not part numbers.
Sofia R. – Senior Installer, Gate Motor Replacement
Sofia joined Warden in 2014 after running gate installations for a fencing company in Mesquite. She’s our senior installer for gate motor repair and replacement work, and she’s authorized on Viking, DoorKing, Elite, and Linear equipment. Sofia handles the heavy structural side: setting new motor mounts, aligning slide gate racks, replacing hinge posts on sagging swing gates. She’s meticulous about torque specs and doesn’t rush a concrete cure. Outside work, Sofia restores old motorcycles, and she’ll talk your ear off about a 1978 Honda CB750 if you ask. On the job, she’s all measurements and level checks.
Devon P. – Service Coordinator, Dallas Dispatch
Devon answers the phone. Not a voicemail, not a chatbot. When you call (361) 322-4460 at 2 a.m. because your gate won’t close and your dog is eyeing the street, Devon picks up. He’s been with Warden since 2016 and keeps the Dallas schedule straight, matching the right tech to the right fault. Devon knows which brands each technician carries parts for on a given day, so you’re not waiting on a second trip for a Mighty Mule arm that should have been in the truck. He’s calm, direct, and writes down every note from every call. If you call back a year later, he’ll remember your gate.
Rosa M. – Apprentice Technician, Gate Repair Dallas
Rosa is our newest team member, apprenticing under Marcus since early 2024. She came from a residential AV installation background, which means she already understood low-voltage wiring and limit switches before she touched her first gate motor. Rosa handles prep work, parts inventory, and assists on slide gate and swing gate repairs across Dallas neighborhoods, from Lakewood to Kessler Park. She’s currently in factory certification training for FAAC and LiftMaster systems. Rosa is the one who labels every wire before it’s disconnected, because that’s the kind of habit we reward.
One Standard, Every Job
The Threshold Standard is the rule, not the aspiration. Every technician on this page passed a background check and identity verification before they ever put a Warden badge on. Customers get a name and photo before the truck rolls. The tech at the door shows a photo ID badge, every single time. And the written price comes before any work starts, no exceptions. That’s true for Marcus, Sofia, Rosa, and every person who works under this roof. A warden is trusted to watch over a place and keep it secure, and that’s the whole idea behind this company. We take the name seriously.
Cole Rafferty, owner of Warden Gate Repair Dallas, enforces the standard personally. He founded this location in 2008 under the Threshold Group family, and he still reviews every warranty claim under the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If a repair fails within a year, the return visit is free. That promise only works if the first visit is done correctly, which is why the team above trains constantly on LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule.
When you call (361) 322-4460, you get a live person. That person gets you a time. And the tech who shows up matches the photo you were sent. That’s how it works in Dallas, and that’s how it’ll keep working.
